The Ministry of Health is responsible for delivering the Dunedin Hospital rebuild at a cost of between $1.2 billion and $1.4 billion.
The project is delivered by the Critical Projects team within the Ministry of Health, working closely with the Southern District Health Board.

A Local Advisory Group has been established to strengthen local input and leadership.
The University of Otago and Otago Polytechnic have historically had close links with Dunedin Hospital and the decision to build on a central city site closes to their campuses will strengthen these relationships.
Workforce Central Dunedin provides the skills and labour needed to help complete the new Dunedin Hospital build.
