What is ACC?

The Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) is a Government agency that provides comprehensive, no-fault personal injury cover for all New Zealand residents and visitors to New Zealand.

Anyone needing emergency care in a hospital as a result of an accident will be covered by ACC.

What ACC can do for you

ACC may also contribute to a wide range of medical and related costs associated with accidents, including:

  • doctor’s visits
  • treatment from various other health professionals
  • surgery
  • X-rays
  • prescription costs.

Find out more about what is covered and not covered under the scheme, and how to make a claim, on the ACC website.
